In these modern times, our children are being exposed to more and more pressure to perform academically. Some take to it like ducks to water, but some don’t . Some battle incredibly with Maths or economics or any of the modern “hard” skill subjects.

In his best selling book THE ELEMENT – How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything, Ken Robinson gives many real life examples of youngsters who found it difficult or impossible to cope at school, among them famous names like Sir Richard Branson – his grades were poor and he hated attending classes. While at school he showed a flair for business, running 2 small businesses, one selling Christmas trees and the other Budgerigars. He left school at 16. Only later did he discover he suffered from dyslexia. Many other of today’s celebrities suffered in a similar way in academic school subjects and went on to be world leaders in the more creative areas of music, dance, theatre, art, photography, relationships with other people.
